Dad am lighting a candle in your honor. Two weeks ago today you left us and moved on in your journey of everlasting life.  Like you said:  "Always remember the good times, family is everything." I will honor your wish to the end of my days. I love you Dad and miss you so much!!

Bill Sherman was a dedicated family man, consummate professional, a Marine for life, the very best kind of coach and a shining example for all in the recreation profession. He tried to make the world a better place in every way that he could and he led by example.  Thank you Mr. Sherman for the time you devoted to HCMA, the Metro Youth Fitness Meet and the Clinton Township Parks and Recreation Committee.  Always a gentleman, kind and always willing to help - you made everyone around you better.  My heart goes out to every member of his family.

Mr Sherman was a very special person, indeed. He exhibited character to all those around him. I was blessed to call him coach. RHS 1965

I remember Mr. Sherman from Roseville High School.  I knew him from Math class when he filled in as a sub when Mr. Jackson was out.  Gos Bless you all.  Special moments are now memories that warm your hearts.

Mr. Sherman was my summer school teacher for math, I just could not seem to make sense of algebra and in his class I finally got it. He was kind and at times funny, I always remembered him. Sorry to see him gone, he will be missed.

I was a classmate of Bill's at Benton High school in St. Joseph, ,Mo. Bill was a super guy and very well liked by all. We spent many hours reminiscing at the last reunion we attended in 2002. I know he will be sorely missed by the family he dearly loved. May he rest in peace in God's arms.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of such a nice man.  Mr. Sherman was my 7th and 8th grade math teacher at Eastland Jr. High.  He was great as was his wife JoAnn who taught me 7th and 8th grade English.  I was so happy when they married.  I babysat their first born daughter and what a cutie she was. Such wonderful memories.

   My sister Carol and I grew up in St. Joseph with three Sherman cousins: Joe (Skip), Billy Peyton, and Vivian. What fun we had together at family dinners! Our fathers were brothers. Skip and Bill were prominent athletes at Benton High School. Oh, so handsome !! Skip died several years ago and Carol left us two years ago. I live in KC MO and Vivian lives in KCKS.
   My prayers and sympathy go to Jo Anne and their children. May Bill rest in the peace of Christ and feel the warmth of his eternal love,

Bill alwyas treated everyone well, especially those that worked for him .(Not the case in many places today ) .  Had the pleasure of attending many meetings with Bill , and enjoyed golfing afterwards with him.

The entire staff of GrayZone, Inc. is extremely saddened by the passing of Mr. Sherman, loving father of our esteemed colleague, Founder and CEO, Dorothy Sherman.  He was a beloved man, teacher and friend to many.  Those of us that had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Sherman know how kind and special he was.  Our deepest sympathies to his wife, daughters, son, grandchildren, great-grandchild and entire family.

Mr. Sherman was a wonderful and special man in my eyes.  He reminded me of my own father.  I will always remember him coming to the funeral home when my father passed.  I was stunned to see him there since they had never met.  He said he was there because his daughter was in New York and could not make it.  He also followed me home one night when I was ill at the Sherman's home; he insisted, to make sure I got home okay.  He was such a kind and caring gentleman, always with a smile.  I will never forget him.

As a 1956 graduate of EHS, I remember Mr. Sherman.  He was well liked and respected. We were all happy when he and the new teacher became a couple and got married. I am sad to hear of his passing. Gene Goodman NC

I am a member of the class of 1956 and I remember Mr. Sherman very well. I remember very well when Mrs Sherman came to Eastland as the women's gym teacher. Mr. Sherman's eyes lit up like he had one to many! It is no surprise to me that they were together for 60 years. They were a prime example of a true gentleman and lady. I am now a military retiree and appreciate his service to the country.

Some of my best memories are with our Michigan based Shermans. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace Uncle Bill until we meet again in the presence of our Lord.
