Betty was a teacher for 23 years in California and substituted for 22 years after she retired. Betty led a life of service to the education of children in Rancho Cordova, California for 45 years
Betty was married to Joseph B. Murphy for 64 years.
Betty is survived by her two children, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
