I was named after Bobby.  My Aunt, Florence Medley Herion, suggested the name after my cousin Barbara was born.  I've always been proud to say I am her namesake.  Prayers to her loved ones and family

Ms. Qualls was my P.E. teacher at DP High and in the 70's I taught P.E. with her there.  I loved her as my teacher and valued her as my friend when we worked together.  I could never call her Bobby when we were peers.  She was always Ms. Qualls to me.

Sorry to hear of Bobby's passing.  I write this on behalf of my Mother who attended Fowler High School with Bobby.  Class of 1949.  Mom remembers Bobby being very athletic in high school.  She also recalls Bobby's love of horses.  She shared a story of Bobby riding her horse into Malaga to visit classmates and stopped to visit my mother who she had given the nickname "Shorty".  She offered my mother a ride on her horse in exchange for water for her horse.  This was a big treat for my mom.  Bobby will be missed and included in prayers.

I was so sorry to learn of Miss Qualls' passing.  She was my high school PE teacher and was just great.  I have very good memories of my years with her as my teacher.  My sympathies to her family and friends.

My father, George, and I were saddened to hear of Miss Qualls' passing. She was my PE teacher & tennis coach all 4 years of high school - Class of '82. I remember how she'd tease me about my making friends with the kids from the teams we played against. She'd say, "Alma, if you're friends with them, you won't want to beat them!". My Dad's first comment when I told him was, "She was always so nice to me". Rest in peace, Coach Qualls.

So sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. Although she was only 7 years older than me, she was a great teacher, coach and mentor. I'm sure my classmates  (Dos Palos class of 1955) share in my condolences to her family and friends.

Bobby Qualls was my first PE Teacher in 7th grade in Dos Palos in 1953.  My sister was a long time friend with her and we all loved her as a teacher.  May you rest in peace.

I am sad to hear about the passing of Ms Qualls.  She was my tennis coach at DPHS and 30 yrs later I still play.  She was a wonderful coach and had a great laugh. Wonderful to know she was in a place she loved with people she loved.
