Catherine Jean Bain

Born on February 4, 1931, in Lackawanna, New York, Catherine spent her childhood and teenage years in Newark, Ohio, and Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Pershing High School, Class of 1949.

Catherine is survived by her loving children: Darla J. Stuart (Robert) of Kingman, Arizona; Deborah L. Walrath (Ronald) of Fresno, California; David P. Bain (Joan) of Boise, Idaho; and DeLaine M. DeLiddo of Fresno, California. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, James F. Bain; her father, Raymond Anglehart of Canada; her parents, Earl N. Pomaville and Esther M. Quinn Pomaville of Fresno; her sister Yvonne M. Smith of Seattle; her son, Dennis L. Hoskins of Fresno; and her granddaughter, Catherine M. Ellis of Fresno.

A Life Celebration Service for Catherine will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, California 93612.
