I was very young when I knew Mr. Bennett. My grandmother Margo used to be a housekeeper for one of his ranches. I remember going with her to help and I got to run around on his ranch. It was some of my most cherished memories growing up. Mr. Bennett had these two golden retrievers that I loved to play catch with. I remember also me and my cousin playing by the fireplace mantel and we caused one of his cowboy paintings to fall. My grandma made us work it off to fix it before Mr. Bennett noticed. However, I wasn't worried because he was so nice about everything and he always had a kind smile that would light up a room. I'm sorry to hear he passed and my grandmother wishes she could see him one last time before his departure. Our hearts go out to his family and close friends.

Mr. Bennett was indeed a generous person. I am most thankful that the Bennett Family Foundation was a major donor in my effort to help preserve the pictorial history of the greater Fresno/Clovis area for the past 40+ years. My sincere condolences to his family.
