I always wondered what happened to you Doris! You always had a smile and were nice to everyone! You didn’t have a bad bone in your body! A truly amazing gift to have bestowed upon you! God only takes the very best and you are no exception! A truly amazing woman! The good ol day are now gone but the memories will live on in all of us! God bless you Doris!

My family has loved this amazing woman for decades. No one could ask for a better neighbor. We all have so many memories of her and her family. We have been blessed to know and love her.

Aunt Doris you have been an inspiration to  your younger brother Jack, and his family throughout their lives.  We lived in Arizona since 1992 but are hearts were always with you. Our best memories were coming to visit you and your boys and your place. 

To John and Tim, So sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom.  Her loss is  the loss of  a 40 year friend of mine. She had broad shoulders for me to  cry on in dark times. I always felt better after taking to her, may it be in person or on the phone.  Her death has left a large hole in my heart. She has no more worries, she is now in God's hands.

When I think of Aunt Doris.. strength,beauty,compassion all come to mind.She was a fighter in her battle with lymphoma...she was a very hard working woman..very independent..She loved Hard too with all of her heart..I always wanted to be like her when I grew up. I love you family and am praying for you.

I'm so sad hearing this news John and Tim. Your mom was an amazing lady and took care of me like I was her own in my younger days. There aren't words to describe the loss you must feel. The only good is she isn't in anymore pain.

So sorry to hear of Doris's passing...I went to high school with Doris and I am Janet Simpson Rhoades sister...Doris had such a sweet personality,...the family is in my thoughts and prayers..God Bless..

Aunt Doris was the epitamy of the Woman I wanted to become when I grew up ,to say I idolized her is putting it mildly.I adored her! She showed me by her actions numerous times that it is o.k. to be strong and independent and being a lady did not mean you had to take any shit from anyone.I saw her change a tire in high hills and a fur coat.She would keep her yard and house emaculat ..She was the only girl with 4 brothers so She took care of her boys.She took care of Her parents till they passed and talked to my Daddy every night on the phone till he passed.She had a heart of gold and when you were around her you knew you were loved.Enjoy the reunions in Heaven Aunt Dorsey..until we meet again.Tammy.
