Gladys Raynell Perry, 95, was born July 11, 1930, in El Centro, California, and passed away May 11, 2026. A longtime resident of Fresno, California, Gladys will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude for a life marked by steadfast devotion, quiet strength, and faithful care for others. Her steady presence and enduring love shaped her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Gladys served as an LVN for 40 years, dedicating herself to the dignity and well-being of those in her care. She worked at the original Saint Agnes Hospital, offering skillful, dependable service there before the hospital later built and moved to its new facility on Herndon Avenue. Through decades of nursing, she exemplified constancy and purpose, meeting each day with the kind of resolve that leaves a lasting imprint.
Gladys is survived by her husband, Virlin Perry; her children, Dwight Perry (Daphne), Linda Aubuchon (Russ), and Kevin Perry (Ellen); her sister, Helen Owens; her grandchildren, Michelle, Eric, Ashley and Nikki; and her great grandchildren, Cody, Brody, Jocelyn, Indie, and Rivi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar C. and Kate Belle Shulanberger, and her daughter, Karen Sorenson.
Visitation will be held at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Ave, Clovis, CA 93612, on May 15, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held at Clovis Cemetery, 305 North Villa Avenue, Clovis, California 93612, on May 16, 2026, at 10:00 am.
