Gregorio (Greg) Figueroa, age 91, was a devoted husband, loving father of six, proud grandfather, United States Navy Veteran, master barber, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on April 21, 1934, in Crystal City, Texas, Gregorio lived a life defined by strength, humility, hard work, and deep devotion to those he loved. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years and continued his service in the Navy Reserves. His commitment to duty and discipline remained a guiding principle throughout his life.
Education was important to him, and through determination and perseverance, he earned his associate’s degree from Cuesta College, San Luis Obispo, CA — a proud accomplishment that reflected his belief in lifelong growth and learning.
For over 40 years, Gregorio served his community as a barber. He enjoyed cutting hair while making new friends in the barber chair.
Gregorio was also a builder — not only of homes, but of dreams. Alongside his beloved wife and with the help of family, he physically built the homes where his family created lifelong memories. Those walls hold the story of his dedication, craftsmanship, and love.
Above all, Gregorio was a family man. He raised six children with unwavering devotion, modeling integrity, resilience, and compassion. He worked tirelessly to provide, always placing his family’s needs before his own. His gentle spirit, playful humor, and steady presence made him the heart of his home.
Gregorio is survived by his beloved wife Rosario of 68 years, whose partnership and love were the foundation of their beautiful life together. He also leaves behind two sons, two daughters and five grandchildren, extended family, and friends who will forever cherish his guidance, laughter, and unconditional love.
He was funny, hardworking, deeply loving, and truly a beautiful man. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the laughter he shared, the homes he built, and the family he cherished.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing he is at peace and reunited with the Lord. His love remains forever in our hearts.
