Jack R. Franks, age 78, was surrounded by his loving family, as he went peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior, on Friday January 8th, 2021. He lived with Parkinson’s for 10 years. Jack was born on November 26th, 1942 in Waukena, CA. to CC and Jewel Franks. The youngest of 5 children.
The Franks family, later moved to Fresno, where he attended Roosevelt High School and graduated from Mclane High School. First graduating class of 1961.
Jack met Linda his wife of 58 years, when they were kids attending church together. After they were married, they moved to Clovis, to raise a family, and later became an insurance agent. Allstate Insurance 4 years and State Farm Insurance 49 years.
Jack and Linda had a wonderful and successful partner/ marriage, as they worked together many years in their agency. They had an incredible love story of perseverance, commitment and love. As many couples they had times of hardship and struggles, but they always turned to God to overcome those seasons
Jack was a Godly man with integrity and had the most infectious smile that would light up a room. He was so loved by his clients, friends and church. Always the life of the party and always had a joke that only Jack could tell. He often would sneak out of the office and we usually knew where he would be. At Chandler Airport flying his airplane, or out golfing. We are grateful that he made time to enjoy life, as well as working hard. Jack was a devoted Husband, Dad and Grandad. He loved his family dearly. We give God the Glory of how from the beginning of this journey, he orchestrated our time together as a family. He gave us the most incredible caregivers; Xochi, Veronica, Jolee and others, throughout the years, we could ever hope or pray for.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents CC and Jewel Franks; brothers, Bill Franks and Lloyd Franks, Sisters, Barbara Dawes and Evelyn Piel.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda Franks, daughter, Cindy Collier and husband Chris, Son, Stephen Franks and wife Tami. Granddaughters, Cristen Liess and husband Jory and Macy Collier; grandsons; Jon Hollis, Tyler Collier, Stephen Franks, Jack Franks; great granddaughter Lennon Liess.
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
