Lindsey Dyan Thompson, age 41, of Clovis, California, entered into rest on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Born on a bright spring day in Fresno, California, to Connie and Richard McClain, Lindsey was a vibrant soul who had the remarkable ability to light up any room she entered.
Lindsey’s passion for life was evident in everything she did. She adored hugs, cherished the color purple, and had a special fondness for sunflowers, roses, and all animals. Family gatherings during Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Halloween, and birthdays were some of her most treasured moments. Growing up, she nurtured a variety of pets, including cats, a pet dove, dogs, and hermit crabs. She loved her "Miss Winkles" pup, Elsa, and her many other animals, including cats, chickens, dogs, miniature goats, a miniature cow, and a pet horse.
An active and adventurous spirit, Lindsey participated in gymnastics and softball. Her favorite vacations were spent at the beach, with Hawai'i, Pismo, and Mexico being her top choices. However, her heart belonged to Disneyland, her ultimate happy place.
After high school, Lindsey followed her dream of becoming a hairstylist by attending Lyle's Beauty College. She worked in various salons before opening her own hair studio 18 years ago in Clovis, on Pollasky located across the street from Luna's Italian Restaurant. Lindsey adored her clients, often considering them family, and loved balancing her work with being present for her husband, David, and their daughters, Bria and Kinsley. As a devoted wife and mother, Lindsey was her daughters' biggest cheerleader, attending every volleyball game and school event, right up until the last few weeks of her life. Her family was always her top priority.
For the past 11 months, Lindsey fought valiantly against this illness, holding on to hope for a miracle and a cure. Her determination and spirit inspired her community, who rallied around her and her family during this challenging time. The Thompson family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received.
We know that Lindsey is at peace now, but we will miss her always & forever; She touched the lives of so many people with her radiant love, warm hugs, and unwavering strength. She leaves a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, all who were touched by her kindness.
Lindsey is survived by her husband of almost 17 years, David Thompson; her daughters, Bria and Kinsley Thompson; her parents, Connie and Richard McClain; her sister, Jennifer McClain; her grandmother, Mary Dawson; her Brother-in-law, Mike Thompson and Sister-in-law, Becky Rankin.
