Lucille Irene Taylor

Lucille graduated from Lavaca High School, Lavaca, Arkansas. She was captain and leading scorer of her high school championship basketball team. On January 18, 1947, she married Junior Lee Taylor, also from Lavaca, Arkansas. After their wedding, they moved to Fresno, California where they raised their family. Lucille worked for the Southern Baptist Book Store for over 30 years until her retirement.

Lucille was predeceased by her parents, Melvin and Oda Gipson, her sisters, Dovie Ladd and Marjorie Wilcox, her brothers, Curtis Gipson, Wayne Gipson, Joe Gipson, Ed Gipson, and Bob Gipson, and her beloved husband of 72 years, Junior Taylor.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Carmen Simonian (Stanley), and her son, Dana Taylor (Donna). She is also survived by her granddaughters, Karri Priddy (Justin) and Jeannette Alexander (Travis), and her grandson, Ed Taylor (Randi). Her great-grandchildren, Michael, Brendan, Connor, Makayla, Jordan, and Ian, also survive her. Additionally, she leaves behind her sister, Beverly Neff, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Boice Funeral Home, located at 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, California, 93612.
