Maddux is a 2024 graduate of Clovis East High School and also participated in the R.O.P. Fire Technician program. He was beginning to learn the art of cooking, with dreams of one day becoming a police officer. He was a young man of quiet strength, warmth, and wit.
Though reserved, Maddux had a deep love for connecting with people. He was known for his laid-back, kind-hearted demeanor and the ability to make an impact with just a few well-chosen words. He loved listening to music—especially the Beastie Boys, Green Day, and Rage Against the Machine—and was an avid sports fan with a special talent for obscure trivia. He also enjoyed watching and playing baseball, football, and basketball. Maddux found joy in the little things: he enjoyed going for long walks, hanging out with his friends, his dog Riley, and anticipating when guests would visit.
He wasn’t one to seek the spotlight, but his compassion always shone through. Maddux went out of his way to greet people who seemed alone, making them feel seen and valued. He once helped a woman push her stalled car off the road and returned later with flowers to brighten her day—just because he cared. His empathy was genuine and effortless.
One of his mom’s most cherished memories is from when Maddux was little—he would spend hours swimming, content and peaceful, with her watching nearby as he soaked up the summer sun. It’s how she will remember him best: serene, joyful, and full of light.
Maddux is survived by his loving parents, Kelli and Rob Greene; his brother, Nolan Greene; his grandparents Gary Kilby, Debbie Kilby, Paul Penrose, and Jim Greene; his aunt Sara Kilby and her family; his uncle Ryan Kilby and his family, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Maddux on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Community Church, 4620 Nees Avenue, Clovis, California 93611.
Maddux’s light may have gone out far too soon, but his spirit, kindness, and quiet courage will live on in the lives he touched. He will always be remembered for his compassion, strength, and the love he gave so freely.
