Margaret Irene Ritchie, 92, of Clovis, CA. went home to be with God on Friday, March 9, 2018. She passed away peacefully with family by her side.
Margaret was born on September 6, 1925 to Ira & Ollie Davis in Muskogee, Oklahoma. In 1942 she married Arlanda Ritchie outside of Fort Rucker, Alabama. Their family grew to five with the birth of two sons and a daughter. Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arlanda, her parents and her two sisters. She is survived by her three children; Rodger Ritchie and longtime companion, MaryJo Lomier of Fresno, CA., Russell & Loena Ritchie of Nampa, ID., and Rhonda & Grover Dickinson of Clovis, CA., along with 5 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Margaret was taught her faith at an early age by her parents and learned to love and respect God.
She was married to and greatly loved Arlanda Ritchie for 72 years. She took great joy having and raising her children. She also got great pleasure from working outside in their yard, which she learned from being raised on the family farm. She was full of energy and usually didn’t sit down until the end of the day. She had a can do spirit with a wonderful smile that usually led to a giggle or laugh about something. Margaret lived a full life as she loved and was loved by family, friends, and family pets.
Viewing will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018, from 5:00 - 7:00pm at Boice Funeral Home located at 308 Pollasky Ave. in Clovis, CA. All family, extended family and friends of Margaret are welcome.
Funeral services to honor and celebrate Margaret's life will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 9:00 am at Clovis Boice Funeral Home in the Chapel. Followed by a graveside burial beside her husband at Clovis Cemetery located at 305 N. Villa Avenue; Clovis, CA. All extended friends and family are welcome.
