Matthew Thomas Woodsford, a beloved husband, father, son, uncle and friend, passed away on June 28, 2025, at the age of 39. Known for his caring nature, protective love, intelligence, and deep devotion to his wife and their three sons, Matthew leaves behind a legacy of love that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Born on March 19, 1986, in San Mateo, California, to Melissa Zarco and Kevin Woodsford, Matthew was raised in Pacifica on the Northern California Coast. He attended Junípero Serra High School in San Mateo, played basketball at Cañada College, and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in business from California State University, Fresno, California. He most recently resided in Clovis, California where he built a successful financial planning business advising clients who he cared about. His success in his career allowed him to take his family on trips and spend lots of time helping and watching his sons play sports, which he absolutely loved.
Matthew is survived by his loving wife, Brianna Page Woodsford, and their three sons, Landon Thomas, Jeremy Joshua, and Mason Aldon Woodsford. He is also survived by his parents, Melissa Zarco (Jose); Kevin Woodsford (Natasha); his stepmother, Theresa Schleif Watt, and his siblings, Joshua and Caitlyn Woodsford. Throughout his life, Matthew was a devoted husband and the most hands-on father.
Matthew will be remembered for his gifts of being the most present and caring father to his sons, a loving and nurturing husband, a loyal son, and very proudest big brother. His presence brought stability to those around him, and his memory will be cherished forever.
A Visitation will be held on
Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
in the Chapel at Boice Funeral Home,
308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, California.
A Service to Celebrate Matthew’s life will take place on
Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM at
The Well Community Church – Fig Garden Campus
4545 N. Palm Avenue, Fresno, California.
Following the service, Matthew will be laid to rest at
Redbanks Cemetery, 11648 E Shaw Avenue, Clovis California 93619
Pallbearers honoring Matthew’s memory will include Kevin Woodsford, Joshua Woodsford, Caitlyn Woodsford Landon Woodsford, Jeremy Woodsford, Mason Woodsford, Michael McEwen, James Lockhart & Joshua Rummonds
