Dear Maggie and Doc,

Carrie just wrote to let me know Pat had passed.  Please accept my sincerest comdolences.  He was such a kind, gentle soul, and I know how much he was loved.  

Some of my fondest childhood memories revolved around your family.  Your dad taking us skiing at Millerton, vacations  in Sugar Pine (not to mention when the plants were dumped at the base of the the waterfall,) Pat taking us to the dances at Bass Lake, and of course, riding your beloved Dixie!

Later, Pat and I spent some time together when we were both students at Humboldt.  I remember cutting up vegetables for dinner with his hunting knife, riding back and forth for vacations.  We were good friends for a time.

Just want you to know how much I cherish all of it.  Thanks to Pat, you and your family for making those growing up years so much fun.

Pat and I shared a lot of memories. May he Rest In Peace. A great guy. Bill Massetti.          When we roomed together in college Norman put shaving cream in his sheets and when he came in late and got into bed he chased David  me and Norman through the apartment. We had a great time. The Malick girls lived below us and we were family. Those were the days. Peace to all. Bill  and Karen Massetti 🙏❤️😎

Patrick was an amazing human being that left an impression on my heart. We worked together professionally on a forestry project and shared many conversations together within a short timeframe in 2021. I am deeply saddened by the news of his abrupt passing but at peace knowing he is surrounded by light now - and lots of big, tall trees. He spoke fondly of his family and once shared with me that I have the same name as one of his granddaughters. He would sometimes reflect of his memories as a forester up in Canada or his fishing trips in Mexico, to how much he loved watching his garden grow alongside his wife. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his loved ones and will be thinking of him today. He was a good man, may he rest peacefully. Fly high amongst the trees, Patrick.
