Joe was a resident of Clovis, California, residing in his home for 57 years from January 1968, until he moved in with his daughter in February 2025.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Sieckman, of Clovis, California; his son, Paul Giro, and wife, Angela, of Fresno, California; granddaughter, Deanna Ruiz, and husband Ray, and great-granddaughters, Presley and Hadley, of Clovis, California. Joe is also survived by and his sisters, Juanita Dun, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Mary Choo, of Sacramento, California, and many nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Arcadio Giro, his mother, Maria Giro, and seven siblings.
Joe graduated from Orange Cove Jt. Union Elementary School District in 1953; from Reedley High School in 1957; and from Reedley College with an AA degree in 1961.
Joe was in the Army serving in the 101st Airborne division from 1961 to 1963, and the United States Army Reserve until August 31, 1967, when he received an Honorable Discharge.
He worked as a service technician for Sears for 34 years from October 1963 to October 1997.
Joe enjoyed spending time with family; working in his yard; woodworking; traveling; watching action movies, baseball and softball on television; listening to music and shopping, especially at Costco.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Boice Funeral Home, located at 308 Pollasky Ave, Clovis, CA 93612, on July 26, 2025, at 10:30 am
