Wayne was born in Bay, Arkansas to a large loving family of eleven children. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. He eventually came to settle in Hayward, CA in the early 1950s where he was a 30-year employee of Owens Illinois Glass Company in Oakland. He was married to his beloved Rose for 52 years before her passing in 1999. They had three children together: Sandy, Michael (deceased) and Debbie (husband John).
Grandchildren: Tim, Scott, Kevin (deceased), Mike, and Kelly. Great-grandchildren: Alexis, Logan, Molly, Kayla, Joshua (deceased) and Caleb (deceased). Wayne is also survived by four siblings: Vern, Ronnie, Patsy and Rickey. Wayne was blessed to marry again and had many years in Searcy, AR with his beloved second wife, Doris, before her passing in 2013.
Wayne will be buried in a private service at Lone Tree Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) in Wayne’s memory.
