

April Michelle Reyna, age 50, passed away on November 11, 2023, in Galveston, Texas. She was born on October 10, 1973, in Freeport, Texas. April was a loving daughter, mother, and friend. She was known for her unique personality and her willingness to help others in need. She had a deep love for dogs and horses, and enjoyed listening to music and dancing. April had a kind heart and easily made friends wherever she went. Her dreams and hopes for a peaceful and happy life were always present.
April is survived by her father, Rudy Reyna, her mother, Patty H. Reyna of Freeport Texas, her daughter, Karissa Reyna, her son, Justin Reyna and son-in-law Tyrick Mikes all of San Antonio Texas.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Louis Reyna and Mary Reyna, her maternal great grandparents Jose Trevino and Adela Leal, great grandparents Vernon and Estelle Watts, grandparents Rudy and Lupe Martinez, grandparents Joe and Irma Watts, uncles Joe Porrini and Gilbert Hernandez, an aunt Barbara Adams Reyna and her nephew Lorenzo Deleon.
April attended Angleton School for her primary education and later graduated from Kempner High School Class of 93'. She furthered her education at Career Point College in San Antonio, Texas and Trinity Valley Community in Palestine, Texas where she pursued her passion for technical computers.
Throughout her life, April had a diverse career. She worked as a Texas State Railroad Attendant Agent, in technical computer roles, as a waitress, a supervisor of hotel housekeeping, an office secretary, and even as a dog groomer.
April worshipped at the First Baptist Church, where she found solace and community. She found joy in her hobbies, which included dancing, DJ music, crafting, making jewelry, horse riding, and swimming. She loved hosting outdoor barbeques and spending time with her family.
A Gathering to Celebrate the Life of April will be held on December 1, 2023, at 7:00 PM at Restwood Funeral Home and Memorial Park located at 1038 West Plantation Dr. in Clute, Texas.
April Michelle Reyna will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will be cherished forever.
