

It is with great sadness that the family of Armando Garza announces his passing on December 8th, 2021 at the age of 60. Armando was a loving husband, father, Poppy, brother, uncle, coworker and caring friend.
Armando was born on May 14th, 1961 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Andres and Juanita Garza, the eighth of nine children. His family moved to Freeport, Texas in 1963 where he made many friends (that he held dear until his death) and lived the rest of his life. Armando attended Jane Long Elementary, Freeport Intermediate and graduated from Brazosport High School (Class of 1980).
Armando was an Operator at Dow Chemical and was currently working at Poly 5/ Poly 6. He was also a member of IUOE local #564 since 1989. During his 32 years of service at Dow, he enjoyed working with his coworkers whom he values as his extended family. In his free time, Armando loved listening to Rock n Roll music, watching Football (avid Texans fan), spending time with family and family vacations.
Armando is preceded in death by his father and mother, siblings Rudy Garza, Andrew Garza (Survived by Linda Garza), Rosa Crossman, and Adela Hernandez.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Deborah (Debi Hargrove Landers), children Morgan Garza, Xandavia Landers, Taylor Landers (Colin Brumlow), and grandson Caiden Oakes.
Armando is also survived by siblings Jesus Garza (Delores), Jose Garza, Anavella Garza, and Mario Garza Sr., Brother in Law Grover Hargrove (Val) as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held the same day as services at Restwood Funeral Home. The family will welcome friends and loved ones starting at 11:00 am on Friday December 17th, 2021. Services to honor Armando’s life will begin at 2:00 p.m. with graveside services to follow at Restwood Memorial Park.
Alvie Busby, Chris Garza, Jody Garza, Mario Garza, Jr., Raymond Garza and Caiden Oakes will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Armando Garza may be made to StJude.org and TexasChildrens.org .
The family invites you to join them for a reception following the burial service at International Union of Operating Engineers ( IUOE Local #564 Union Hall), 2120 North Brazosport Blvd, Richwood, Tx.
