Armon "Doyle" Oliver, age 79, of Lake Jackson, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in Tyler, Texas. Doyle was born March 8, 1942 in Hooks, Texas to Robert L. and Margaret Oliver. He was a lifelong resident of Brazoria County and Lake Jackson, Texas. He served in the United States Army for 3 years and worked for Dow Chemical Company for 20 years from where he retired.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother Robert and Margaret Oliver. His brother Robert "Buddy" Oliver, daughter: Kim McGough and grandson Miles McGough.
He is survived by his wife Sylvia "Wendy" Oliver, Daughter Melanie Bridges (husband Floyd), Sister, Geraldine Carolan, 4 grandchildren: John, Wesley, Andrew, and Elizabeth, nieces Evelyn and Anne and great nieces and nephews.
Doyle loved to fish and dance and he was very proud of his family, especially his only granddaughter Elizabeth, and his nieces. He will be missed dearly by all who loved him.
