

Billie Lou Pugh, 84, of Lake Jackson, passed away Wednesday, October 08, 2014. A visitation will be held at First Baptist Church, Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, October 10, 2014 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Lake Jackson. Final disposition at Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches, TX
Survivors include her sons, Edward Williams and wife Jeanne of Lake Jackson, TX; Jimmy Dean Williams and wife Tinker of Alvarado, TX; Twin-sister, Betty and husband Carroll Whitener of Lebanon, TN; grandchildren, C.J and Ashley Williams of Lake Jackson, TX; great-grandchildren, Emily Boothby and Lilli Williams of Lake Jackson, TX; Step-Great-Children, Kim Gries, Andrea Boothby and David Boothby; 3 nephews and 1 niece.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Lloyd Thomas Pugh, her parents Louis William Rulfs and Gladys Sally Evans Rulfs.
Billie Lou was born September 17, 1930 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She graduated in 1952 from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, TX. She taught at Northside Elementary and after 27 years of service she retired. She was a long time member of the First Baptist church of Lake Jackson where she taught bible class. She loved her church and all of her friends there. She was a volunteer at the ER waiting room for Brazosport Regional Health System Hospital and 3rd Vice President of the Woman’s Auxiliary at Angleton Danbury Hospital.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bo Landers, Marvin Cole, Don Hood, and Angleton Danbury Auxiliary.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to First Baptist Church Lake Jackson Ministry or Angleton Danbury Hospital Auxiliary in Billie’s memory.
