

Daniel Jackson “Jack” Kimbrough passed away on January 23, 2013. Jack left this world surrounded by his wife, sue; daughter, Terry and granddaughter, Andi. He was born on March 31, 1936 in Montgomery, Alabama. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Dan & Nettie Kimbrough; children, Gene Kimbrough, Leslie Kimbrough, Davey Stewart, Sherry Stewart Gill and a brother, Dale Kimbrough. He is survived by his wife, Sue; daughter, Terry Stringer and her husband John; son, Neal Stewart and his wife, Laura; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jack was raised in Clute, moving to the area at the age of 10 years old and graduated from Brazosport High School in 1954 where he played football. He attended the University of Houston, graduating in 1958 with a Pharmacy Degree and worked as a Pharmacist in the local area until 2005. His father opened the very first pharmacy in Clute, in the local barber shop on Main Street and took over Kim’s Pharmacy and later opened K&S Pharmacy after his father retired. At one time he was a member of the Jaycees and was a Clute City Councilman. Jack was a true outdoorsman. He loved everything having to do with nature. He loved animals, hunting, fishing, farming and gardening. He was also known for having all kinds of very unusual pets. He also leaves behind 3 special canine companions. Jack had many friends and lots of loved ones in his life. His sense of humor, his love and his talent of telling stories will be greatly missed. Jack and his family, truly, appreciates all of the thoughts and prayers.
