Dominga Trevino Lopez

Dominga Trevino Lopez, 85, of Lake Jackson TX entered Heaven’s Gates on May 5, 2016 in Angleton TX. Dominga was born on April 26, 1931 to loving parents Bernardo & Francisca Trevino in Wharton TX. Dominga married Johnny A. Lopez Sr. in Wharton TX on February 14, 1948.

Dominga was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbor – family was her everything. She was a natural care-giver, taking care of everyone who needed help. She was a lifetime member and Cursillista of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in Clute TX. She loved to garden, she was an excellent cook, and she loved to travel.

Dominga is preceded in death by her parents, Bernardo Trevino, Francisca Trevino, and step-mother Petra Trevino; her husband, Johnny A. Lopez Sr.; her son Johnny Lopez Jr.; two brothers, George Trevino and Jose Trevino.

Dominga is survived by her daughters Connie (Porfirio) Gonzales, Mary Hernandez (Justino) Olguin, Josie (Ernest) Mueller III, and Francis (Adrian) Valdez; and her son David (Gracie) Lopez. She is further survived by 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Porfirio Gonzales III, Joe Hernandez Jr., David Hernandez, Johnny Martinez Jr., John Lopez, Adrian Valdez Jr., Aaron Valdez, and Ernest Conrad Mueller IV.

Honorary pallbearers include Ashley Valdez, Sandy Jane Torrez, Brian Lopez, David Lee Lopez, Tony Meza, Manuel Meza, Rick Meza, and Aurora Perez

Visitation of Family and Friends will be held at 6pm on Tuesday May 10 2016 at Restwood Funeral Home. A rosary service will be conducted at 6:30pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday May 11 2016 at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church.

Dominga Trevino Lopez will be laid to rest on Wednesday May 11 2016 in Restwood Memorial Park Cemetery next to her husband and son.
