

With heavy hearts we announce that Glen Melvin Seffens 91 of Lake Jackson Tx passed away April 3rd 2025 following a brief illness. Glen was born in Monticello Illinois to parents Glen William Seffens and Opal Irene Zindar Seffens. He graduated from Wisner High School La. in 1951 where he excelled in sports. Glen and Amanda Ruth McLemore of Gilbert La. were married September 6,1953 in Gilbert Louisiana.
Glen attended Southwestern Louisiana University 1951-1952. He then joined the US Navy from 1952-1956. He returned to Southwestern Louisiana University (1956-1960) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering. Glen joined BASF in 1960 and retired after 32 years of Service.
Glen, our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great, great-grandfather, enjoyed taking care of and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and a good laugh.
Glen was proceeded in death by his wife of 68 years Amanda Ruth Seffens in 2021, his parents Glen William Seffens and Opal Irene Seffens and sister Mary Seffens Barton.
Glen is survived by his two sons Keith Seffens of Brazoria, TX, and Dean Seffens of Lake Jackson, TX, brother Harry Seffens of Bogalusa La., Uncle Ted Seffens of Rayville La., granddaughter Heather Seffens Williams of Poteet, TX., grandson Matthew Terry of Angleton, TX., great-grandchildren Chalay Seffens Pierce and T.J. Williams of Poteet, TX., Connor Matthew Terry of Angleton, TX, great-great grandchild McKenzie Pierce of Poteet Tx., Cousins Sharon Seffens Gibson, Ronald Seffens and Chad Seffens all of Rayville La., Niece Kym Seffens Boudreaux of Covington La., great niece Savanna of Mandeville La., great niece Brielle of LSU, great-great nieces Collins and Camryn and great-great nephew Beau of Mandeville La.
A gravesite memorial at will be held 4-30-25 @1 pm by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations to
