James (Pat) P. Pollock, Jr., of Lake Jackson, died Friday, June, 15, 2018, at home with his family by his side. James (Pat) was born May 3, 1929, in Cleburne, TX at home to James P. Pollock and Thelma Brown Pollock.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jamie Nugent of Lake Jackson and Carolyn Cormier and husband Tim of Austin; three grandsons, Lee Nugent of Houston, David Nugent of Canada, Matthew and wife Alexandra of Houston; great-granddaughter, Avery Nugent of Houston; sister, Darla Sissom; and sister-in-law, Linda Pollock, and Fred; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
James (Pat) was predeceased by his parents, James and Thelma Pollock; ex-wife, Mary Lee Hamilton; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Joan Pollock; brother, Robert Pollock; and brother-in-law, Noel Sissom.
James (Pat) graduated from Brazosport High School then went right into the Army during the Korean War. While in service, he was asked to go to Greenland because of his expert cement mason skills to help build a military base and housing. He also had expert marksman skills for which he received the Expert Carbine Award.
Pat was a proud member of the Cement Masons Local #681 for 65 years. He loved taking walks down Dow's Nature Trail with his daughter. He loved camping and fishing, but his pride and joy were his Koi fish in the backyard. He enjoyed helping family and neighbors with anything that need be done, which gave him that special time with brothers and brother-in-law. He loved clocks and in his house, you can hear every type of clock! He also had his faith that when he died, his spirit would return to our Lord and rejoice with his family that went before him. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, family and friends.

Service to honor Pat's life will be as follows: Visitation will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Restwood Funeral Home, 1038 W. Plantation Dr., Clute, TX. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Please wear blue in honor of our father.
Pallbearers will be Lee Nugent, Tim Summa, Coleman Pollock, Wayne Sissom, Dennis Sissom, Sean Tichacek, and John Fuller. Honorary pallbearers will be David Pollock, David Nugent, Robert Pollock, Jr., Matthew Cormier, and the Cement Masons Lodge #681.
