It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Katharina Aletter (Oma), of Lake Jackson, who took her last breath on December 22. Katharina, born in Germany in 1932, graced this world with a gentle spirit and warm smile.
After immigrating from Germany to Australia, Katharina and her beloved husband found a home in America. Together, they established and ran a successful meat market for years in Arkansas.
They eventually settled in Lake Jackson in 2002. In their retirement years, when they weren’t crisscrossing the United States in their fifth-wheel trailer, they were helping with family -babysitting, feeding, chauffeuring, or attending family events.
Katharina was a devoted wife and a pillar of strength for 67 years to her late husband, whose memory she held close to her heart since his passing in 2021. Her loyalty to her husband was unwavering, and she willingly followed him wherever life's journey took them.
Katharina always made time for family as was evident in the countless moments she dedicated to making them feel cherished and welcomed. No one left her home without being offered a snack, a meal, or a homemade treat. Her home was a haven of warmth and comfort.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished by her children, Thomas (Karin) Aletter and Rita (Greg) Pisarski. Katharina's nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren, Nick (Sydney) Pisarski, Jacob Pisarski, Jenna (Chris) Beck, and Zachary (Sara) Pisarski. In addition, Katharina was a proud great-grandmother to Everett Pisarski, Ava Pisarski, Ignatius Beck, Faustina Beck, and Benjamin Pisarski.
Prior to her decline in health, Katharina was an integral part of the St. Michael's Church community, where she actively participated as a devoted Catholic. She had a deep sense of faith and commitment.
As we bid farewell to Katharina, let us remember the love she showered upon the children and grandchildren, and great grandchildren, the countless meals she shared, and the genuine joy she found in her family.
Funeral Mass and Services will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Lake Jackson beginning with the rosary at 10:30am, mass at 11:00, followed by a graveside interment at Restwood Memorial Park in Clute, Texas.
