Margie Diane (Jones) Hunt-Janik

Margie Hunt-Janik, of Lake Jackson was born December 15, 1948 in Clute, Texas to Mavis (Johnson) and Sam William Jones and died March 26, 2013 in Houston, Texas at the age of 64. She was the middle of 3 children and had lived this past year in Lake Jackson. She was a vivacious woman until P. A. D. limited her movement. She grew up playing softball through her married life and worked at several places, including Kroger, Wal~Mart, Service Merchandise and Dollar General. She loved butterflies and in the end, she finally was able to spread her wings and flew to the heavens above. She is preceded in death by her parents; older sister, DeDe died in 1969 at the age of 21 of M. S. She is survived by her younger brother, William Danny “Bill” Jones of San Luis Pass; daughters, Melissa Louise Barton and her husband Fred Nelson Barton of Lake Jackson, Anneka Jean Hudgeons and her husband Michael Kent Hudgeons of West Columbia; Melissa’s children, Brendon Nelson Barton, Bailey Aaron Barton; Anneka’s children, Michael Hudgeons Jr. of South Dakota, Brady & Taylor Hudgeons of West Columbia; nephew, Shawn William Jones. The family would like to extend gracious thanks to Mr. Randy Burnett of Brazoria for all he did for Margie throughout her life. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 30, 2013 in the Restwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Hogan officiaiting.
