Mary Sue (Abel) Albinus, 79, of Angleton, Texas went to be with her Heavenly father on June 8, 2018 in Galveston, Texas. Sue was born on May 2, 1939 in Clute, Texas to Archie and Eunice Abel. Sue married Jerry Albinus in Angleton, Texas on November 4, 1957.
Growing up, Sue loved going fishing with her father at Surfside beach. In 1954, she was crowned “Queen of the Lions Club” for the Brazoria County Fair. Throughout her life, Sue was a devout Christian and she was proud to have an active role in her children’s spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ. Sue loved her 5 children, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She also loved her cat Bentley. Her hobbies that she loved were arts and crafts; especially crocheting and ceramic making.
Sue is preceded in death by: husband, Jerry Albinus; father, Archie Abel; and mother, Eunice Sophia Nicar.
Sue is survived by her daughters Melony (Chester) Albinus Wilson, Julie (Michael) Albinus Slama, Jennifer (Tim) Albinus Moore, Penny Albinus, and son Bubba (Traci) Albinus. Sue is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Archie Ray Abel; sister, Emma Lee (James) Andrus, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June, 20, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, Texas.
