Michael (Mike) Stephen Evans, age 38, of Houston, TX, passed away on April 5, 2024. Born on April 10, 1985, Michael was a unique individual who never settled for the status quo. He was gifted with both an analytical and creative mind, which made him remarkably artistic and innovative. A lover of songwriting and passionate about learning new languages, Michael's diverse interests enriched his intellectual and emotional depth.
Throughout his life, Michael had a profound love for God and was bold in his faith. His personal struggles endowed him with a unique perspective and compassion for the impoverished and distressed. He dedicated himself to being the hands and feet of Jesus, never missing an opportunity to share the gospel message. Michael will always be remembered as a precious son and a jovial little brother. He was also a partner of Air Industrial Works selling industrial pumps all over Texas and beyond.
He is preceded in death by family members who shared and influenced his deep faith. Surviving are his loving parents, Lawson Everett Evans III (Lee) and Marlene Evans; siblings Keith Evans, Tamrah Forrest, Lawson Everett Evans IV (Rusty), Amanda Gonzalez, and Matthew Evans, all of whom will hold his memory dear.
A celebration of Michael's life will take place at First Baptist Church of Sargent, located at 53 County Road #283, Sargent, TX 77414, at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Noe Cano. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Restwood Funeral Home, 1038 W Plantation Dr, Clute, TX 77531.
