Paul Tristan

Paul Longoria Tristan, 62, of Freeport TX, went to be with the Lord on March 2 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born on November 23 1953 to Pablo & Magdalena Tristan in Victoria TX. Paul married Elma Gonzalez in Freeport TX on December 8 1973.

Paul was a very active member of Brazosport Christian Center, serving as an Elder with the church for 15+ years. Paul was a welder in the Brazosport area for over 30 years. For many years he volunteered with the Salvation Army where he worked with the Disaster Recovery Unit, and he was also proud to be able to serve with the food pantry. He loved to be outdoors, spending time at the beach or camping. Paul was a loving husband and father who will be missed by his family greatly.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo & Magdalena Tristan; and a brother, Johnny Sanchez.

Paul is survived by his wife, Elma G. Tristan; sons Daniel Leija and Paul Anthony Tristan; and four grandchildren Isaiah Leija, Zaiden Leija, Skylah Leija, and Alexson Ryan Tristan.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gabriel Ortiz, Larry Ortiz Jr., Cristian Cardenas, Carlos Villareal, Dexter Collins, Nii Adjei, James Sanchez, and Willie Lathan.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Brazosport Christian Center and the many friends who stood by Paul and his family during this trying time.

Visitation of Friends and Family will be held on Thursday March 10 2016 at 6pm in Restwood Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday March 11 2016 at 10am at Brazosport Christian Center.

Paul will be laid to rest in Restwood Memorial Park immediately following funeral services.
