

Lake Jackson resident Robert "Paul" Lydic passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Brazosport Memorial Hospital. Paul was born in Freeport, Texas on May 12, 1956. He graduated with honors from Brazosport College in 1988 with a degree in Engineering, Graphics, and Design. Paul enjoyed working with his hands, being outdoors, and spending time with his four grandchildren. He was an entrepreneur and helped lead his son's Boy Scout troop for several years. Paul often said that he felt most peaceful when he was surrounded by nature. His family remembers him as someone who constantly pushed those around him to do and be their best.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Carlita Lydic. He is survived by Edna Lydic, his wife of 33 years; his son, Chris Lydic of Lake Jackson and grandson, Zayne; his daughter, Theresa Lydic of Leander and granddaughters, Erika and Elizabeth; his daughter and her husband, Sarah and Adam Westerfield of Seguin and grandson, Owyn; his sister, Carol Lydic of Austin; his brother and sister-in-law, David and Susan Lydic of Austin; and his step-mother, Lanora Lydic of Bellville; as well as many loved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A memorial services will be held at Restwood Funeral Home & Memorial Park on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at 2:00pm.
