Steven was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. He had the kind of smile and personality that could make anyone feel welcomed, comfortable, and loved. He was joyful, funny, outgoing, and incredibly social, the type of person who could start a conversation with anyone and leave them smiling afterward.
Steven had a deep passion for technology and was blessed to turn that passion into his career while working in IT at Lake Jackson Intermediate School. He loved helping students and staff and was especially loved by the kids. Many looked up to him not only for his knowledge, but because he always took time to encourage them, give advice, and make them feel important. He had a gift for connecting with people and making a difference in their lives without even realizing it.
Outside of work, Steven was a huge Houston Astros fan and loved sports of all kinds. Whether it was watching a game, talking sports with family and friends, or celebrating every Astros win, his excitement and energy were contagious. Steven also faithfully served at church behind the scenes, operating the sound system and screens during services. He never needed recognition to serve others; he simply loved helping wherever he could. His servant's heart, kindness, and dedication reflected the beautiful person he was.
Above all, Steven loved his family and friends deeply. He leaves behind countless memories filled with laughter, jokes, conversations, and love that will forever remain in our hearts.
Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that Steven's love, kindness, and joyful spirit will never be forgotten.
