

He was born May 1st 1916 in Oregon City, Oregon to Joseph M. and Grace Mae RePass. He along with his family settled in the area around Lynchburg Va., where his father passed away when Frank was still a young boy. His mother placed the children in the Odd Fellows Orphanage. His younger brothers Thomas and Julius were babies and were adopted right away. Frank, his sister Hazel Virginia, and brother Roy Bert remained at the home until they turned 18.
He moved to Algonac,Michigan where he did various odd jobs until the outbreak of WW2. He served in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant with the 10th Armored Division. While stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, he met Carmie Caudill, his future bride. They were married January 19, 1944. He left shortly thereafter to serve his time with the European invasion. He was a field cook on the front lines. He reminisces about the time he served General Patton, the time a sniper shot at him while preparing breakfast (breakfast was late that day). He talked about being in the large tanks and how his battalion was one to help rescue the prisoners from the Dachau concentration camps.
Frank returned home to settle in Kentucky with his wife. They had five children, one boy and four girls. He worked at an ammunitions plant in Indiana until he got the job at General Electric where he worked until he retired in 1978. He volunteered at the Black Mudd Fire Department as a firefighter. He also ran their Fish Fry bus to help earn money for the fire department. After retirement he and Carmie moved to Brooksville, Fl. They enjoyed their time until she started the early stages of Alzheimer's. Frank realized he needed help and moved to Titusville in 1996 to be closer to family. Frank and Carmie were married 63 years when she succumbed to the disease March 15, 2007. They were members of the Little Myrtle Old Regular Baptist Church in Melbourne, Fl. He loved to write about his love for Jesus and all things holy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and siblings. Left to mourn his loss are his children and their spouses, Charles and Jean RePass, Rebecca and Rick Brensinger, Virginia and John Johnson, Brenda and Bob Wallis, Linda and Ron Thompson. Frank has eight grandchildren, Charles, Tiffany (Meng) RePass, Rick and Chris Custer, Charles and Alan Wallis, Tammy (Underwood) Thompson, and Ronda (Winn) Thompson. There are 15 great-grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, and 1 new great great- grandchild. There are many nieces , nephews, friends, neighbors and Brothers and Sisters of Christ from his Church. He will be sorely missed.
Services are to be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home at 5475 N.U.S. Highway #1, in Cocoa, Florida 32927 with burial at Brevard Memorial Park. Friends will be received from 1- 2 pm with a Celebration of Life Service at 2pm and burial to follow.
