John served in the United States Air Force during WWII. He worked for the United States Post Office for 28 years. John was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was also a member of the American Legion. John enjoyed traveling, especially to Wisconsin and New York.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice, in 2008.
John is survived by his son, John (Rose Marie) Seal of Canaveral Groves; daughter, Beverly (Stephen) Carberry of Merritt Island; In-Laws: Kenneth Popelka, Joyce Hoffman, and Hazel Engstrom; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 24, from 5-8PM at Wylie Baxley Funeral Home in Merritt Island. There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, February 25 at 11AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rockledge, FL. Interment will follow services at Brevard Memorial Park in Cocoa.
