Mary is survived by her sister, Sandra Shull, San Antonio, TX, her daughters, Patricia Smith of Cape Canaveral, FL, Sarah O'Laughlin of Mendocino, CA, and Corinne Bell of Fort Orford, OR. Mary also had 5 grandchildren, and had 5 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Mary moved to Merritt Island in 1961 from Hampton, VA, and was employed by NACA at Langley AFB, VA, and transferred to Florida to set up the NASA Personnel Office, on Kennedy Space Center. Mary's brilliant career with NASA lasted 33 years at the space center in the Personnel Office, and retired in 1985.
Mary was an avid reader, had a green thumb, and was a fabulous cook during her lifetime.
Some of her favorite past times were traveling and taking cruises.
A Celebration of Life will be held in late February with a date and place to be determined.
