Morene was born, October 1, 1930, in Gainesville, Ga., daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Mae Lathem.
Morene worked for the Brevard County School Board for 26 years, ending her career at Fairglen Elementary School, as the cafeteria manager.
Morene is predeceased by her three sisters, Virginia Pierce, Louise Kidd and Willie Mae Grizzle and her brother Douglas Lathem.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Marion D. Underwood, her son, Richard Underwood and his wife, Michel Underwood, her daughter Connie Loveall, her granddaughter, Nicole Gonzalez and her husband, Avel Gonzalez, her grandson, Sean Underwood and his wife, Kenia Underwood, and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 10-11AM with service to follow at 11AM at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow service at Brevard Memorial Park.
