Born on February 25, 1941, in Hapeville, Georgia, Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Harold Forrester Ratterree and Elizabeth Prickett Church Ratterree. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rita Elizabeth Ratterree Greene.
Ann graduated from North Georgia College and enjoyed a successful career in accounting with Delta Air Lines in Atlanta. Following her retirement, she remained closely connected to the Delta family through her involvement with the Delta Pioneers, where she cherished the friendships and memories made throughout her years of service.
A devoted member of her community, Ann was active in the Civitan Club and found great joy in serving others. She possessed an adventurous spirit and a love of travel that took her around the world. Her collection of passport stamps reflected a life well lived and a curiosity for new places, people, and experiences.
Ann also delighted in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed shopping on QVC, watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies, cooking and spending time with family. Her niece and nephews knew they could always count on her banana pudding, a favorite treat that was requested often and made with love.
She is survived by her loving niece and nephews: Erin Brannon of Carrollton, Georgia; Brian Greene (Katie) of Marietta, Georgia; Shawn Greene (Jenny) of Apollo Beach, Florida; and Chris Greene (Stephani) of Covington, Georgia. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Tom Greene (Deborah) of Florence, Alabama, and five great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom will miss her greatly.
Ann will be remembered for her kindness, genuine smile, generosity, sense of adventure, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Whether traveling to faraway places, gathering with loved ones, or enjoying a quiet evening at home, she embraced life with warmth, grace, and gratitude.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Merryvale Assisted Living and Circle of Hope Hospice for the compassionate care, comfort, and dignity they provided Ann. Their kindness and support brought great comfort to both Ann and her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Delta Retiree Assistance program in Ann's memory, continuing the spirit of community service and fellowship that meant so much to her. https://www.retireeap.org/donate-today/
Though she has taken her final journey, the love, laughter, and memories she shared will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
