Edie P. Wilson of Summerville, South Carolina passed away on July 23, 2024, at the age of 90 in McDonough, Georgia. She was born on October 27, 1933, in Buchanan, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mattie Ayers, and son Gary Wilson. She is survived by five daughters; Patricia Goodrich (Phil), Linda Emerson, Deborah Harrelson (Steve), Cheri Henderson, Tracy Gaines (Morris); a brother Arley Ayers, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Mom was known for her love and generosity towards her family. Everyone knows she was a firecracker, always joking and sometimes even doing a little jig (dancing). She was a loving mother and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed their visits very much. Going to the beach was a favorite of hers. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening. Her family, as big as it is, will cherish all the many great memories we have of her.
