Elouise Allen

Elouise (Grissett) Allen, 78 of Jonesboro, GA, passed away peacefully at her home on August 9th, 2020. She was born to late William Henry Grissett and Beulah Mae Spain, on November 17, 1941, in Conway, SC.

Elouise graduated from Whittemore High School, Conway, SC in 1960. She proudly retired from Brookview Elementary School (East Point, GA) where she worked for 20 years as a Food Service Manager.

Elouise was predeceased in death by three sons. Warren R. Allen, Darryl R. Allen, and Brian R. Allen Sr., from a previous marriage to Frederick R. Allen (New Jersey). Two brothers, Waymon Grissett (Florida) Clyde Grissett (Myrtle Beach SC).

She leaves to mourn one Daughter, Kimberly R Allen (Tucker GA) One sister Jessie Mae Smith (Snellville GA), One brother Kenneth Grissett (Amelia) (Myrtle Beach SC, Two Daughter In-Laws, Aradenia Allen (Florida) Towanna Allen (Pennsylvania).

She was a dedicated loving grandmother to seven grandchildren. Donate Allen, Warren Allen, Brian Allen Jr., Andre Allen, Alexis Allen, Mitchell Allen, Aaron Allen. Three Great Grandchildren Carson Allen, Jayda Allen, Major Allen. She enjoyed being a Grandmother (endearingly called “Grandma Georgia” by some of her grandchildren). Her life was centered around her family which gave her great joy. Elouise’s passing leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends.

Memorial services will be private. Interment at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, College Park, GA.
