Growing up in Tayorsville, Georgia, she was the eldest of two daughters. She went to work in the fields at the age of five. Farm work was very hard. Her family lived off of the land and made moonshine.
Sarah married her husband; Claude Lee Woods at the age of 18 and as a homemaker, she raised six children.
She was active at her church until her health no longer permitted. At the age of 99, she was always full of love and kindness. She will be greatly missed by all who know and love her.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; Homer and Dottie Earwood, her husband; Claude Lee Woods, her sister; Loraine Rector and one son; Jackie L. Woods.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Claude (Hazel) L. Woods Jr, John (Debbie) W. Woods, Ann Stamey, Billy (Nancy) R. Woods and Jerry (Carolyn) W. Woods, 39 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
