John Grandison Delamater of College Station passed away at the age of 74. He was born in San Antonio, TX on May 20, 1951 and lived until May 4, 2026. As a young man, Ben was a member of the Boy Scouts where he achieved the level of Eagle Scout. He was also quite an athlete in his youth participating in varsity sports during his junior high and high school years. He obtained two bachelor’s degrees from Texas A&M, served in the US Army on active and reserve duty, and was a long- term employee of Kent Moore Cabinets.
He is survived by brother Ben F. Delamater and wife Elizabeth, and brother Thomas A. Delamater; three nieces, Arin Delamater Fullerton, Catherine Delamater LaBarre, and Margaret Mays Delamater; a nephew, David W. Delamater all with families.
He was preceded in death by another nephew, John R. Delamater, and by his parents, Col. Benjamin Franklin Delamater and Anna Volkmann Delamater
