Joseph Connor Roussel

Joseph Connor Roussel was born to Dr. Allen J Roussel Jr. and Dr. Patricia Holland on March 15th, 1990 in Bryan, TX. In 2009, he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served as a CBRN Specialist until 2014. His son, Gage Joseph Roussel, was born January 20th, 2016. Connor loved no one more than Gage, and cherished every moment they spent together. Connor graduated from Texas State University on May 14th, 2021 with a degree in Public Relations. Upon graduation, he worked as an Area Manager at Amazon Inc. in San Marcos, TX.

Connor’s greatest passions were traveling, cooking, music and LSU football. A loyal friend, and loved by many, he was best described as “all of his friends’ biggest fan.” When not working, he could usually be found cooking or with his friends. Connor loved wearing outrageous outfits, be it head-to-toe LSU apparel, or dressed to the nines. His sharp wit and philosophical mind will be missed by all who knew him.

Connor is survived by his parents, Allen and Patricia, his siblings, Steve, John-Michael, Rick, Kathryn Roussel Harris, Debra, and Franklyn, and his son, Gage.

Family and friends are invited to services at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station, TX. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 10th from 5 pm to 7 pm. The funeral service will be Thursday, November 11th at 10 am. The family invites everyone who wishes to dress in purple and gold for the funeral service in honor of Connor’s beloved LSU.
