

Lloyd Fairbanks, Sr., 82, of Anderson, Texas passed away at his home Saturday morning July 2, 2016 surrounded by his family. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 8th at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station, Texas. Burial will follow at the Independence Cemetery in Independence, Texas.
Lloyd was born July 3, 1933 to Rosa Lee Farquhar and John F. Fairbanks in Clay, Texas. Lloyd attended school in Clay and Brenham, Texas and began working as a farmer at a young age in the Clay area. Eventually he moved to Houston where he met Frances Stinnett whom he married on April 21, 1957. He and Frances moved to the Carlos-Anderson area where they have called home since 1994. Lloyd loved to play dominos, and he loved dancing and sports.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rosa Lee and John F. Fairbanks; a daughter Rosa Fairbanks; four brothers, John, Marshall, Clint, and Jesse Fairbanks; one sister, Jo Ella Wegner; one grandchild, Ashton Fairbanks; and one great-grandchild.
He is survived by his wife Frances Fairbanks of Anderson, Texas; six sons, Kenneth Fairbanks and wife Rita of Anderson, Texas, Jerry Fairbanks of Navasota, Texas, John Fairbanks of Anderson, Texas, Lloyd Fairbanks, Jr. and wife Annie of Keith, Texas, Mark Fairbanks and wife Katalla of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Samuel Fairbanks of Edge, Texas; four daughters, Deborah Flagler and husband Paul of Normangee, Texas, Pamela Boyd and husband Jim of Franklin, Texas, Regina Vilanova and husband Edwin of Iola, Texas, and Christina Fairbanks of Iola, Texas; one brother, Floyd Fairbanks of Humble, Texas; twenty-nine grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
