

Nancy Sutton Besly, 68, of Bryan, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Baylor Scott & White Health Center in College Station. Visitation for Nancy is scheduled for Friday, July 8, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in College Station. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Church under the direction of Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Bruce Wood officiating.
Nancy was born October 27, 1947 in Amarillo, Texas to Alice Sutton and Clifford Arthur Stein. She graduated from Tascosa High School in Amarillo. She received both her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from the University of Oklahoma and has lived in Bryan for the past 11 years. She worked as an Educational Speech Therapist and Diagnostician. She retired after working with numerous schools around the Bryan – College Station area and with MHMR. She was active in the community volunteering with the Hope Pregnancy Center, and the American Red Cross. She was also an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in College Station, teaching Sunday school and volunteering in the office.
Nancy loved to travel, especially with her granddaughters, and traveled extensively once she retired. She had a lifelong love of reading and was always interested in learning about other languages and cultures as she traveled. She also adored her two dogs, Zeke and Amy.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Alice Stein. She is survived by two sons, David Besly and his wife Tera of Bryan, Texas and Steven Besly and his wife Sara of Dallas, Texas; one sister Mary Anne Stein of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren, Aaron Besly and his wife Alyssa of College Station, Texas, Brooke Besly and Catherine Besly both of Bryan, Texas, and Isabella Besly and Victoria Besly of Dallas, Texas.
