Tammy Lynne Watson St. Clair, 43, of College Station died Wednesday at The Med in College Station. Tammy is the wife of Darrell St. Clair and the daughter of Raymond Watson and the late Barbara Parsons Watson.
Tammy was born in Spring Branch, Texas, on October 9, 1970. She graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 1989 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Sam Houston State University in 2007. During high school Tammy was active in choir and served as the FFA president. She loved music, singing, and horses. After high school she attended Sam Houston State University and worked for the Walker County Sheriff’s Office. Over the past twenty years, she was employed at Air-Care, Texas A&M University, Cornerstone Christian Academy, and Bryan, College Station, and Snook schools as a substitute teacher. For the last five years, she also served as the secretary for the Brazos Valley Church of Christ and enjoyed teaching Bible classes there.
Tammy loved spending time with family whenever she had a chance. She loved camping, especially in Colorado, and working on craft projects. She also enjoyed taking pictures of God’s creation whether it be sunrises, sunsets, animals, changes of the seasons, or her niece and nephew. She loved to joke around and make people laugh; her laugh and smile were contagious. “Aunt Tamale,” as her niece and nephew lovingly referred to her (she loved Mexican food), spent as much time as she could supporting her family in their own endeavors including watching her niece and nephew play sports and watching her sister coach her teams. Tammy’s favorite hobbies were reading and decorating for the holidays – ALL holidays! Tammy also enjoyed blogging and described herself in this way: “I am a sometimes crazy person who is absolutely in LOVE with her husband. I am a wife, a mommy of three angel babies, a daughter, a sister, and friend. I love my family and spending time with them. I am a Christian wife who strives to do as God commanded.”
Tammy is preceded in death by her son, Raymond Dean St. Clair, her mother, Barbara Ellen Parsons Watson, and her grandfathers Raymond Leroy Parsons and Joseph Charles Watson. She is survived by her husband of 16 years Darrell St. Clair of College Station, her father Raymond Watson of College Station, sister Rebecca Johnson and husband Steven of Fort Worth, nephew and niece Taylor Johnson and Madison Johnson of Fort Worth, sister Rae Anne Watson of College Station, grandmothers Virginia Parsons of College Station and Gladys Watson of Hill Top Lakes. Tammy is also survived by her in-laws James and Cheryl St. Clair of College Station and sister and brother-in-law Rachel and Brian Ladwig of Austin. Other survivors include her “adopted” sister Lou Ellen Herr and her fiancé Jim Dozier of Bryan, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, her church family, and many, many friends.
