

A Memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 18, at Grace Bible Church on Anderson. Interment will be at a later date at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
William was born December 18, 1924 in Labuco, Alabama the son of Dr. Bailus E. and Elma C. Donaldson. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in both Physics & Chemistry. He worked for General Dynamics, owned his own electronics store and enjoyed a long career with Texas Instruments working as a Manager of Special Projects.
His passion about his relationship with his Lord Jesus Christ, which developed later in life, was exhibited through the many Bible Studies he attended, his faithful service in the tape ministry of Grace Bible Church and his service to his community. He worked for the Brazos County at voting locations, volunteered with the Republican Party, headed up the local census in 1990, and served as President of his Home Owners Association.
William served our country during WWII in the U.S. Navy on the USS Enterprise in the Pacific and during the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.
Above all he loved his family well, and left them many precious memories!
William is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Eugene Donaldson.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jane M. Donaldson; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Beth A. Donaldson; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Mark Hawk, Beth and Ed Hadden; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Hal McKay, Patti and Ralph Summerford; grandchildren, Chad W. Donaldson, Eric Hadden and wife Joy, Andrew Hadden and wife Taylor, Sarah Wilson and husband Michael; great-grandson, Jack Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
