Mr. Alfred L. Ford

Alfred is predeceased in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Ford and his two sisters Jenny Lagner and Ruth Perkey.

He is survived by his his loving wife, Zuana Ford, their three children: LaWanna Thompson (spouse Chris Thompson), Greg Ford, and Melinda Pool (spouse Brad Pool). Alfred and Zuana have six Grandchildren: Whitney Jebaraj (Spouse Noah Jebaraj , Courtney Pendergrass (spouse Jon Pendergrass) , Peyton Ford (fiance Gabby Ford) , Landri Pool, Ethan Ford, and Hayden Pool. They have one great-grandson, Worth Pendergrass. Alfred is also survived by his adored nephew, Charlie Bohlr (spouse Carolyn Bohlr.)

Alfred and Zuana’s love story began at the young age of 17 at 20 when Alfred knocked on Zuana’s door and asked her to the school play. She said yes, and the rest is history. They were married at the Kelton Methodist Chuch on June 10th 1961 in Kelton, Texas after only a year of dating. They have celebrated 61 joyous and loving years of marriage together.

Alfred’s greatest joy was the life and family he and Zuana built together. Alfred was his kids and grandkids biggest cheerleader. He was love in physical form, because love shows up. He showed up for all the sporting/extracurricular activities, he showed up for doctor appointments, he showed up for birthdays and celebrations…but he also showed up for the hard times. His family adores spending time together because he set the example of what being together truly is. His biggest joy was taking everyone on vacations during the summer. Alfred’s legacy will be his family continuing to stick together.

Special thank you to Ce Ce Wafford, Sharee Lincoln, and Dan Ingle-Senn for caring for our beloved Daddy and Pawpa in his last few months of life. Our family is forever grateful.

The family will Celebrate the Life and Passing of Alfred L. Ford on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 2pm-4pm at The Nest at Ruth Farms, located at 3930 Bud Williams Rd, Ponder, Texas 76259
