Barbara was born July 8, 1931, in Tyler. Known as the "Tyler Rose," she enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, interior decorating, arts and crafts and spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, L.D. Pate.
Survivors: Her loving husband, Lee Reynolds Carter; children, Caren Cuevas, William P. Carter and his wife, Loretta, and Jay Reynolds Carter and his wife, Joy; six grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren, with one on the way; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Suzette Seabury; one nephew; one niece; and other family members and friends.
