Mr. Bill J Dismuke

Bill was born on September 27, 1936, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He attended Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas where he met the first love of his life, Donna Sue Carruth. Bill and Sue were married and raised two sons, Charles and Brent, and lived a happy life together for 44 years until Sue’s passing in 2002.

A few years later, the Lord blessed Bill with another great love. On a blind date, Bill met Darla Sue Litke. The two shared a common bond in their love of the Lord and were married in 2006. For the last 16 years they have travelled literally around the world for both recreation and sharing their faith and love of Jesus by participating in Let’s Start Talking (LST) and FriendSpeak ministries.

Bill’s career path started with Peat Marwick as a Certified Public Accountant from 1958 to 1968. He later left public accounting and went to work for Holiday Inns, Inc. and served as Chief Financial Officer from 1968 to 1979. Bill served as a Senior Vice President of Rollins, Inc. from 1979 until 1984. He retired as President of Edwards Baking Company in 1995. Bill was a Director of Rollins, Inc. from 1984 until his retirement in 2020.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents E.J. (Buck) Dismuke and Tenie Michela Dismuke; and his former wife Sue Dismuke. He is survived by his wife Darla Dismuke; his sisters Mary Catherine Emerson, Linda Krute and husband Bob; his sons Charles Dismuke and wife Susan, Brent Dismuke; his step-son Brad Litke and wife Neva; step-daughters Kristi James, Kerri Bland and husband Brent. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Kimberly, Kaylee, Will, Anna, and Ethan; his 9 step-grandchildren Lindsey, Drew, Braden, Austin, Kaitlin, Kylie, Ashley, Hunter, and Sydney

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Christian Relief Fund (www.crf.com), a non-profit charitable organization focused on bringing relief to orphans and children in poverty.

A visitation for Bill will be held Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd; Colleyville, Texas 76034.

A funeral service will occur Monday, January 9, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Hills Church-North Richland Hills Campus, 6300 NE Loop 820, North Richland Hills, TX 76180. A committal service will follow from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd; Colleyville, Texas 76034.
