

Clarence "Burt" Allman was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Clarence will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
He was the son of Clifton Bernard and Elsie LaPoint Allman.
Clarence was raised with his twin brother, Michael. Clarence was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his brother. They shared many life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Clarence had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School in 1962. He enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
Clarence enjoyed his college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Clarence was able to manage the balancing act. He earned his B.S. Degree from Lamar University.
Empathic and loyal, Clarence was committed to making his new family happy.
Clarence worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Clarence was blessed with two sons, Chris and Jeff and two daughters, Erin and Shea. Another blessing for Clarence was the gift of six grandchildren, Zoe, Tanner, Paige, Larry, Chase, and Nicolas.
Fortunately, Clarence enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Clarence worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. Burt worked as a district sales manager for Pitney Bowes. He was employed for 24 years. Clarence always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Clarence enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. He was an avid fisherman; enjoyed R&B music, all forms of motorsports and watching his Texas Rangers. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Clarence found pleasure in sports. In his college years, he was a key contributor as a defensive half-back in the inaugural year of the Southland Conference where Lamar Cardinals won the 1964-1965 Championship.
Clarence’s faith was important to him. He was a member St. Michael Catholic Church. During that time, he was an usher.
When Clarence’s retirement finally arrived several years ago, he was well prepared. Even in retirement, Clarence continued to stay in touch with his old friends while making plenty of new acquaintances. Clarence was active in his new community and felt fulfilled with the opportunities retirement offered him.
Clarence passed away on May 12, 2016 at Harris Methodist-HEB in Bedford, Texas. Burt is survived by his wife Cathy, their sons Chris and Jeff Allman, his daughters, Erin Manzello and Shea Ceaujean, his grandchildren, Zoë, Tanner, Paige, Larry, Chase, Nicolas and his twin brother Michael Allman, nephews Chad and David Allman; his daughter-in-law Sondra Allman and his son-in-law Eddie Manzello; cousins Barbara Ryan, Dwayne Hunt and his nieces and nephews along with other family and many friends. Services were held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Bedford, Texas. Clarence was laid to rest in the Mausoleum in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
Simply stated, Clarence was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Clarence leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Clarence "Burt" Allman.

Clarence Burton Allman (Burt), 71, of Bedford, Texas, passed away on May 12, 2016 peacefully in his sleep. Let us remember that God was pleased with him and called him home. Burt was born in Denver, Colorado on July 21, 1944. He graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School Class of 1962 and continued on to receive a B.S. Degree from Lamar University where he was a key contributor as a defensive half-back in the inaugural year of the Southland Conference where Lamar Cardinals won the 1964-65 Championship. Burt was married to Cathy Cuccio on December 12, 1975 and they were married over 40 years.
Burt worked as a district sales manager for Pitney Bowes for over 24 years before retiring several years ago. He was a talented and avid fisherman; enjoyed R&B music, all forms of motorsports and watching his Texas Rangers. He also served as an usher at St. Michael Catholic Church. Burt is survived by his wife Cathy, their sons Chris and Jeff Allman, his daughters, Erin Manzello and Shea Ceaujean, his grandchildren, Zoë, Tanner, Paige, Larry, Chase, Nicolas and his twin brother Michael Allman, nephews Chad and David Allman; his daughter-in-law Sondra Allman and his son-in-law Eddie Manzello; cousins Barbara Ryan, Dwayne Hunt and his nieces and nephews along with other family and many friends. Burt is preceded in death by his parents Clifton B. and Elsie (LaPoint) Allman, his maternal grandparents Arthur R. LaPoint and Gertrude LaPoint, all of Port Neches, Texas; and his paternal grandparents Joseph (Woody) & Fernanda Allman of Jackson, Mississippi. If preferred and in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
